November Nurse of the Month – Tracy

Nov 25, 2022

Our team here at WESolutions believes in sticking with our people for the long haul. It’s not simply about placing a nurse into a job and moving on to the next one. Our goal is to build trusted relationships that last throughout a nurse’s career. We want to understand their long-term career goals and aspirations and help them at every step of their journey.

Our Nurse of the Month initiative is designed to highlight the achievements and experiences of some of the most talented nurses we’ve had the opportunity to work with. So now, it gives us great pleasure to introduce November’s Nurse of the Month, Tracy.

Tracy’s Story

Inspired by the nurse who cared for her grandmother when she was a child, Tracy followed her dream of caring for others and now works as a Nursing Assistant in Chesterfield.

When did you realise that a career in nursing was right for you? Was there a particular moment in your career?

I realised a career in nursing was right for me while I was growing up. Whenever I took my grandmother to her clinic, I observed the nurse taking care of my grandmother and treating her so well. She spoke in such a soft tone of voice and at that moment, I knew I wanted to provide that same care to others.

What was your journey like in securing a role through WE Solutions?

My journey with WESolutions is one of the best choices I have ever made and one of my biggest dreams to come true. I have great confidence in WESolutions – the recruiters are very patient, cooperative, helpful, concerned, reliable and understanding.

I can recall at one point I was getting frustrated because it has been three months not hearing anything about my passport and not being able to access any documents on my email. My recruiters were very patient with me and walked me through the steps showing me how I could retrieve my documents. No matter how tough the journey was, my recruiters walked a thousand extra miles with me so I could receive my documents.

Now I can accomplish and live my dream career. By having faith, grace and patience, God shows us that everything in life happens for a reason.

What advice would you give to young people considering a career in nursing?

My advice is that being a nurse is one of the best privileges someone can ask for because nursing is a gift, and you must love it. You have to always be open-minded to new things; ask a lot of questions about the things you don’t understand and find ways to improve yourself professionally. You must always challenge yourself to learn everything that comes your way.

With everything we do, always remember that God gives each and every one of us that special gift to be motivated and the strength to encourage someone in our life to choose what is best.

Do you have any standout memories/funny/interesting stories from your career as a nurse?

One of my standout memories of being a nurse is always being there to put a smile on my patient’s faces, to comfort them and to make sure they are with their family strong and healthy.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

My superpower would be empathy because being a nurse helps you connect with patients and support them on their journey. It also helps you to build trust and bonds with the patients.
