Scrub Nurses

Scrub Nurses- Manchester

We are looking for a Scrub Nurse to work within Manchester. A scrub Nurse is someone who prepares the operating area by organising and laying out the necessary instruments and equipment, working with the doctor through the surgery to make sure every procedure is safe and going successful. A scrub nurse also gets the patient ready to go to the recovery room.  Scrub nurses play an important role in the success of surgical operations.

Before each procedure, Nurses “scrub in” by thoroughly disinfecting their hands and arms and then putting on sterile clothing. To keep the operating area sterile the ‘scrub nurses’ should wear masks, gloves, gowns and other protective clothing they may need for the surgery. They must follow safety procedures when handling sharp equipment, chemicals and body fluids.

Please make sure you have at least 6 months NHS months, right to work in the UK, current NMC.
